What is ABA therapy?
ABA therapy, or Applied Behavior Analysis, helps children build communication, daily living, social, and behavior skills through individualized teaching and positive reinforcement.

In-Home ABA Therapy · New York City
In-home ABA therapy that meets your child where they are — building communication, independence, and connection in the moments and places where those skills matter most.
Welcome to Attuned ABA
Attuned ABA was founded on the belief that meaningful progress begins with connection. Children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and supported by people who are patient enough to meet them where they are — and skilled enough to help them grow.
Our team provides one-on-one ABA therapy in the home, with individualized goals created through clinical assessment, caregiver input, and ongoing observation. We work closely with families because lasting progress does not happen in isolation. It happens during meals, playtime, transitions, bedtime routines, community outings, and everyday moments.
At Attuned ABA, therapy is not a one-size-fits-all program. It is a thoughtful, structured partnership between the child, family, BCBA, and behavior technician.

"We take time to build trust before expecting progress."
What We Do
Attuned ABA provides in-home ABA therapy for children with autism. Our services are designed to help children build meaningful skills, reduce barriers to learning, and participate more fully in family and community life.
In-home ABA allows children to practice skills where they are most likely to use them — during play, transitions, routines, and everyday family moments.
ABA uses careful assessment, structured teaching, positive reinforcement, and ongoing progress monitoring to help children learn meaningfully.
We use ABA in a way that is naturalistic, respectful, child-centered, and tailored to each family — never one-size-fits-all.

Our Approach
Sessions may focus on communication during play, tolerating transitions, following routines, building independence, asking for help, or participating calmly at home. Because therapy happens in the home, caregivers can observe strategies, ask questions, and learn how to support their child throughout the week.
When challenging behaviors occur, we look for the reason behind them. Our goal is to teach safer, more effective ways for children to communicate and cope — not to force compliance without understanding. We focus on prevention, skill-building, reinforcement, and compassionate support.
Our team tracks progress toward goals and uses that data to adjust strategies over time. If a child is moving quickly, goals can be expanded. If something is not working, the plan can be revised. Families receive updates so they understand how their child is progressing.
Caregivers know their child best. Family input is part of every stage of care. Whether a family needs support with morning routines, mealtimes, bedtime, communication, safety, or community outings, we build the plan around real needs — not just goals that look good on paper.
Every child begins with a clinical assessment. A BCBA evaluates strengths, needs, current skills, family priorities, and daily routines, then creates an individualized plan with measurable goals. As the child grows, learns, and develops new needs, the program grows with them.
Every child brings their own personality, strengths, preferences, sensory needs, and pace of learning. We take time to build trust before expecting progress — understanding what motivates each child, what overwhelms them, and what helps them feel safe.

Why Families Choose Us
Families choose Attuned ABA because we combine evidence-based care with a calm, relationship-first approach. Each child's program is supervised by a BCBA and delivered by trained Behavior Technicians. From the first phone call through assessment, authorization, therapy, and progress updates, we help parents understand what is happening, what comes next, and how to support their child between sessions.
Your Child's Journey
A parent, provider, school professional, or care manager contacts Attuned ABA to begin the process.
Our team gathers basic information, reviews documentation, and helps families understand what may be required — insurance cards, documentation of diagnosis, and a doctor's referral. If you need to ask your child's doctor for forms, we will guide you. If applicable, we also collect prior ABA records, an IEP/504, or other relevant medical or school paperwork.
A BCBA evaluates the child's needs, strengths, routines, and treatment priorities.
The clinical team creates an individualized plan with goals based on assessment findings and caregiver input.
A Behavior Technician begins working with the child under ongoing BCBA/LBA supervision.
This process may vary depending on insurance requirements, documentation, authorization, and provider availability.
Family Stories
Real progress looks different for every child. Here is what parents share about working with Attuned ABA in their homes.
“Having therapy happen in our own living room changed everything. Our son started using words at dinner, not just during sessions. The team truly listened to what mattered to our family.”
“The parent coaching gave us tools we use every single day. We finally feel confident handling transitions and meltdowns instead of dreading them.”
“They handled the insurance authorization from start to finish and kept us informed the whole way. Our daughter's BCBA is warm, thorough, and genuinely invested in her progress.”
Insurance & Authorization
Attuned ABA helps families understand the insurance and Medicaid authorization process for ABA services. Coverage depends on the child's plan, diagnosis, documentation, medical necessity, and authorization requirements.
Our team works with families to gather required documents, submit information when appropriate, and communicate with insurance during the intake process.
Once services begin, caregivers may receive updates, training, and support so that therapy goals can be reinforced outside of sessions. Caregiver participation may be required by some insurance plans and is often an important part of helping children make lasting progress.
